The mission of the Jewish Foundation for Group Homes is:
JFGH is the only Jewish-focused residential program for adults with disabilities in the metropolitan Washington D.C. region
The "Ask Me!" Survey results are discussed in weekly Suppervisors' meetings and are used to improve the quality of the JFGH program. While JFGH has ranked very high in satisfaction among those interviewed, the agency is always looking for ways to improve its services. Currently JFGH is exploring options for improving integration of residents within the community and educating residents to help them make educated and appropriate choices.

JFGH has a comprehensive quality assurance plan which focuses on recommended areas of improvement from the "Ask Me" survey. Currently JFGH is exploring options for improving integration of residents within the community and educating residents to help them make educated and appropriate choices. In addition, JFGH is focusing on improving the health of its residents through wellness and nutrition programs.
JFGH takes very seriously its role of ensurin that its residents are active members of thei community. All JFGH residents are required to participate in a competitive work environment, volunteer activity, day program or workshop during the day. In the evening and on weekends, several endowment and operating funds are established to offset the cost of events and activities. Each JFGH home has avan, which is used to transport residents to social, cultural, religious and recreational events within the community. In addition, when appropriate, JFGH provides training to enable residents to use public transportation to familiar destinations including work, volunteer and other activities.
For JFGH group homes and ALUs for adults with developmental disabilities, applicants are accepted and residential services are provided to appropriate individuals without discrimination on the basis of race, national origin, color, disability, religion or ability to pay.
Criteria to be met for consideration for admission to a JGH group home or ALU:

Applicants will be considered for admission when all required information has been received. Required Materials are as follows:
Prior to actual admission into a JFGH residential placement, the applicant will be required to submit a current (within one year) Psychological Evaluation, a current (within one year) Medical Evaluation, and current (within 30 days) lab work
