Services Offered

Residential, Family Support Services, Individual Support Services, Vocational Day Program/Sheltered Workshop, Day Habilitation Program, Community Supported Living Arrangements.

Individuals Have the Following Types of Disabilities:
Mental Retardation, Autism, Behavioral Problems, Blindness/Severe Visual Impairment, Cerebral Palsy, Head Injury, Epilepsy/Seizure Disorder, Mental Disorder, Deafness/Severe Hearing Impairment, Orthopedic Impairment, Specific Learning Disability, Speech/Language Impairment, Chemical Dependency, Spinal Cord Injury, Spina Bifida, Multiple Sclerosis, Cystic Fibrosis, Muscular Dystrophy, and other neurological impairments.

Number of Individuals Currently Being Served: 69 adults residential; 30 adult day supports; 32 receiving individual support services; over 300 families supported/year through rolling access.

Mission Statement

To provide a vehicle for supporting individuals with disabilities with the highest quality of community support services.

Unique or Distinctive Qualities

Each of the State of Maryland supported programs at Creative Options, Inc. displays its unique and distinctive quality.
Residential support services for the youth provide alternative living supports for adolescents and youth with co- occuring diagnosis of a developmental disability and chronic mental illness.

78% of the adults Creative Options, Inc. supports are adults diagnosed with a developmental disability and co-ocurring diagnosis of a chronic mental illness. Several receive extensive and specialized staffing and behavioral and psychiatric support services.

The individuals supported in the Individual Family Services and Individual Support Serivices have unique quality of supporting individuals and their families with physical disabilities.

Creative Options is continuing its efforts to assist individuals its supports by implementing methods that focus on continuing to empower the individuals Creaptive Options, Inc. supports. The "Ask Me!" assisted its individuals in identifying key choices and fundamental rights issues that current guide the agency's quality assurance plan.

Creative Options, Inc's practises are two fold:
There is a formal documented review process that monitors standards of practice and operations.
Second, there is a formal quarterly review that involvs the individuals it supports by simply asking what is important to them in their lives and how Creative Options, Inc can assist them in obtaining the satisfaction they seek in that need.

How Does Your Agency Support People In Becoming Active Members Of Their Community?

Individuals preferences and desires are obtained on an ongoing basis. Individuals are encouraged to participate in community activities of their choice. From the daily house needs to social and leisure needs. They participate in planning their involvement. Creaptive Options provides support through assessment, providing transportation, developing social and leisure skills.
