Describe your quality assurance practices, including any agency accreditations.

Parents, siblings, and interested community members comprise the Arc's Quality Assurance Teams. These teams visit homes and speak with staff and roommates, looking for appearance, safety, and comfort, as well as satisfaction f the people living there. The Arc's Director of Quality Assurance conducts monthly house and program reviews, compiling the results in a format shared with staff and Board of Directors.

How Does Your Agency Support People In Becoming Active Members Of Their Community?

Residential services range from residencies with full time live in staff providing training and supervision, to semi-independent homes that offer counselling and assistance as needed. Support services helps participants lead more independent, enriched lives by providing supports based on their lifestyle and goals. Strong partnerships exist within the community. Using a team approach, community resources and family connections are utilized to promote independence and enhance people's opportunities for community participation, enabling them to have more control over their own lives.
